Delete your app data

You do not need an AnimateMyRoute account, and you can delete most app data directly from your Android device.

There is no AnimateMyRoute account

There is no sign-up, login or online project library. Your projects, routes, selected photos, edited vehicle images, settings and drafts stay on your device. This means there is no account profile for Ember Oak Studios to delete.

Delete a project

  1. Open AnimateMyRoute and go to Projects.
  2. Open the project's More menu.
  3. Select Delete and confirm the project deletion.

This deletes the project from the app. Videos you have already saved to your device will stay there.

Delete temporary files

  1. Open Settings in AnimateMyRoute.
  2. Under Storage, choose Delete temporary files.

Delete everything stored by the app

Uninstall AnimateMyRoute, or open Android Settings and clear the app's storage. This removes the app's projects, settings and other private data from that device. The name of this option may vary depending on your device and Android version.

Saved videos and backups must be deleted separately

Videos in your Movies or Gallery folder and any .animatemyroute backups will remain after you delete a project or uninstall the app. Use your device's Gallery or Files app to delete these separately.

Information used to protect the online route service

The online route service does not keep user accounts or a history of your routes. It gives each app installation a random ID so it can limit excessive requests and block misuse. Companies that help run the service may keep basic security records for as long as their policies allow. Clearing the app's storage removes the ID from your device, but it may not remove an existing security block from the online service.

If you want us to review or delete a block record where the law allows, copy the installation ID from Settings > Security & abuse protection before clearing the app, then email it to us. You do not need to send a route or photo.
